I was so excited when Naomi and Mark asked me to take some photos of their first baby, Lillian. Check out all of her beautiful hair! And seriously the longest fingers I’ve ever seen on a newborn! Her daddy is already looking for a nice piano for her. She has the sweetest disposition too, was happy and sleepy.

What is Katherine like as she’s just about to turn 4? She’s awesome! I’m loving this age, she’s still strong-willed but not so much that it makes hour-to-hour life difficult (like last year). She is super-crazy imaginative, comes up with all sorts of great adventures for her animals or dolls or pieces of paper. She loves to draw and color, on her terms of course, and is always drawing our family (sometimes we’re people, sometimes flowers with faces, sometimes we are cocoons…). She laughs a lot, tells jokes, she argues with, cuddles, and truly looks out for her little sister. She loves to help me bake and wash dishes. She makes museums out of legos (with dinosaurs inside and also a truck), she is really loving school and she loves to be the door helper. She still loves purple but now admits that her next favorite color is blue and next after that is pink. She still loves her dresses and most days she is actually an animal (most frequently a butterfly, crab, baby sea turtle, cat, horse, or iguana). And now she is four!
She also is much much more willing to let me take her picture. As long as she can wear a purple dress or get some ice cream out of the deal.

This is sweet miss Katherine (great name), I used to work with her mom back at The Institute for Genomic Research. I was so excited to find out that Miss K. and her mom would be making a trip over to the East Coast from San Francisco and wanted me to do a session for her! She’s one of the happiest 4-month-olds I’ve ever met and soooo gorgeous, as you can see!I have not been doing many sessions over the past several months but I have an exciting business-related announcement coming up soon!

I am back! No good reason at all for not posting for so long! We had a wonderful Christmas at my parents house in Charlottesville and Alex’s family was able to join us there too!
