Sydney is yet another month older today. It flies even faster the second time.
What a week it's been. Katherine has decided to take 10 steps back with her ability to fall asleep on her own. Of course she decides to do this when I have many many things that I need to do once she is asleep. She's all about good timing you know.
And here is Miss Sydney, yesterday and today.
Yes, I do this shot every month but I always love it the most.
She looks so serious in this one but that's because she's studying her sister. I have no hope of getting her to look at me if Katherine is in the room.
Oh - and she's not sitting up on her own, Alex's hand is behind her bum.
I just loved photographing this wedding!! Wendy and Sherman are an adorable, fun, enthusiastic couple and I was so honored to be there to document their wedding at Newton White Mansion. There were a few themes that I noticed popping up throughout the day - vegetarianism, cake-eating, many languages, jeopardy (see below), violin-playing, Maryland, California, travel and devotion - and one thing I've noticed is that couples who have lots of passions in their lives tend to be expressly passionate toward one another. With Wendy and Sherman this was absolutely the case. Wendy and Sherman, thank you for having me be a part of your beautiful day!

Sherman is a Jeopardy Champion (!) so the bridesmaids put together a "Sherman and Wendy Jeopardy" game!

It’s a Korean tradition to celebrate when a baby is 100 days old. It used to mean that there was a pretty good chance that a baby would survive if it made it 100 days. It also means the baby is actually 1 year old if you add the 9 months of gestation! We decided to take the opportunity to invite Alex’s Korean cousins (the ones who are spending a year here in the US) and their kids over (and both sets of grandparents too of course) now that Sydney has reached this milestone!

I can’t believe how fast it’s going! Sydney has been giggling for maybe a week now when we tickle her. Yesterday she burst out laughing when I sneezed. Just melts my heart!
Took this on Monday when she officially turned 3 months!
My awesome friends Claire and Mike had their second baby boy a week and a half ago and here he is at 10 days old! He is so tiny and sweet and absolutely beautiful!
Last summer we took Katherine to the park when she turned 18 months so of course we had to do it again this year. Same park but not quite as early in the morning this time (much harder to get out the door with two little ones!).
